NON-PARTISAN POLITICAL ACTION

DSCF3863 - edit.jpg

The Immigrant Voice (TIV) is engaged in a collective process of analysis of government policies, bills and their impact on the rights of workers who have received their qualifications abroad. The Immigrant Voice comments on the bills, criticizes them with the goal of  making necessary changes for the full recognition of rights.

As this is a collective process, The Immigrant Voice expresses itself through the Table of Concertation of Organizations Serving Refugees and Immigrants (TCRI), of which it is a member. It is in this context that in 2016, The Immigrant Voice actively participated in the analysis of Bill 98 "An Act to amend various Acts primarily concerning admission to professions and the governance of the professional system" and made its arguments on this subject prevail. The arguments of The Immigrant Voice were taken into account in the final brief filed and presented by TCRI to the National Assembly of Québec.

  • Bill 98

  • Press release Minister of Justice

  • Brief Issue Table

The Immigrant Voice intends to pursue its non-partisan political actions in close collaboration with the national platform specializing in collective defense of rights, the grouping of organizations for collective defense of rights (RODCD), which represents it to the Secretariat for Autonomous Community Action and Social Initiatives (SACAIS).

The Immigrant Voice will soon download:
